La Primera Tortilla Factory was founded by Jose & Aurora Favela in 1984 in the town of Sunland Park. Immigrated from Mexico in 1974, the Favelas' worked hard to someday create a quality, family run business and eventually they succeeded with La Primera. By popular demand La Primera began delivering to small neighborhood stores & restaurants and soon larger chain companies were convinced about the quality & authentic taste of La Primera. Now La Primera is the #1 leading provider of local tortillas in El Paso and surrounding areas.
